"Holiday" is a corruption of the word Holy Day. God has three annual Feast Days that are Holy unto Him and unto his servants. These annual holy days are, "The Feast of Unleavened Bread," "The Feast of Weeks" (or better known as The Day of Pentecost), and "The Feast of Tabernacles." You might think these are Jewish Holy Days and not for Christian believers; however, Leviticus 23:2 states, "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be Holy Convocations, even these are my feasts." (vs.4) " These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons." These feast days or Holy Days are to be kept as a statute forever throughout your generations.
